Nguyen Thanh Vi (Vi) Tran, an intern in the 2020 cohort of the Transfer-to-Excellence Summer Research Program has just published her first journal article. Vi spent her summer completing a remote research project in the lab of Professor Laura Waller. She was mentored by Kristina Monakhova and Grace Kuo, graduate students in the UC Berkeley EECS Department.
The paper, titled “Untrained networks for compressive lensless photography” was published in Optics Express Vol. 29, Issue 13. Vi also presented her research poster at the Computational Cameras and Displays workshop of the 2021 CVPR conference. A brief overview of Vi’s presentation can be found here.
Vi will be transferring to UC Berkeley’s computer science major this Fall.
