The Center for E3S is once again thrilled to be hosting research interns and visiting faculty from across the state this summer.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and campus closure, the Center is hosting eight students and four faculty members for online summer experiences. All participants hail from the California Community College System. Welcome students and faculty! Best of luck on your summer work.
The Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) Participants are:

The Transfer-to-Excellence (TTE) Program Interns are:
Austin Culp, a chemical engineering major from Los Angeles Valley College, is hosted by Prof. A. Zettl and mentored by Scott Stonemeyer.
Cameron “Czara” Baker, a chemistry major from Fullerton College, is hosted by Prof. J. Cate and mentored by Angélica M. González-Sánchez.
Jack Wyatt Jebef, a Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Santa Barbara City College, is hosted by Prof. J. Bokor and mentored by Dr. Zafer Mutlu.
Menucha “Mimi” Winchell, a computer engineering major from Los Angeles Valley College, is hosted by Prof. J. Bokor and mentored by Dr. Sucheta Mondal.
Musaiel “Moose” Gebremariam, a mechanical engineering major from Santa Rosa Junior College, is hosted by Prof. M. Wu and mentored by Xiaosheng Zhang.
Rosario Martinez, a computer science major from Long Beach City College, is hosted by Prof. S. Shadden and mentored by Fanwei Kong.
Samantha Childers, a computer science engineering major from Citrus College, is hosted by Prof. B. Hartmann and mentored by J.D. Zamfirescu-Pereira.
