The Center for E3S contributed the three demos of the Nanotechnology Showcase at Cal Day 2013, UC Berkeley. Two graduate students, Seth Fortuna and Hui Fang, and four undergraduates, Peter Huang, Louis Kang, Morgan Monroe and Lawrence Pan, supported three separate demos that showcased nanotechology as applied to electronics and energy. The demos presented the concepts of Lithography, Two-Dimensional Materials, and Solar Cells. The audience, which numbered approximately 65, included members of the incoming freshmen class, community college students who have applied for transfer, parents and other family members, guidance counselors from other schools, and the Berkeley community.
The Center thanks the five students for their outreach efforts, which included many hours of preparation and giving up their Saturday morning.
