The Center for E3S welcomes Lea Marlor as Education & Outreach Program Manager. She joins Dr. Sharnnia Artis, E3S Education & Outreach Director, in promoting and supporting the Center’s education and diversity programs.
Previously, Lea was a graduate student at Purdue University. While at Purdue she spent two years on the leadership team for Purdue’s Women in Engineering Graduate Mentoring Program where she worked to increase the retention of women engineering graduate students. She also participated in events at Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day that focuses on educating and exciting female high school students about engineering. Lea holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is currently completing an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Purdue University. Lea’s graduate research is focused on the nucleation of silicon nanowires.
