Áine Minihane is currently the program coordinator of the Center for Energy Efficient Electronic Sciences (E³S), an NSF-funded Science and Technology Center (STC) headquartered at the University of California, Berkeley (with university partners MIT, Stanford, UTEP and FIU). In this position, she manages the day-to-day operations of the center and facilitates the planning, implementation and tracking of special events, including seminars, annual retreats, summer programs and guest speakers.
Prior to coming to Berkeley, Áine worked at the University of California, Office of the President (UCOP) where she served as the Coordinator for Special Projects. She was responsible for Presidential Initiatives and all related events, including communications and evaluation materials. She conducted a considerable amount of research related to her special projects, including campus climate, campus student organizations and case studies.
Áine is an alumna of the University of California, Davis. She received her B.A. in Native American Studies and Political Science.
In her free time, Áine does 3-Day Eventing and competes all over the West coast with her horse, Tank. She also enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
