The Center for E3S Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) students finished our 10-year program in style. The overwhelming majority of students who have participated in the REU have gone on to some of the most prestigious graduate programs in the country. Some REU participants from the graduating class of 2020 have shared with us their PhD destinations. These include Emily Chen (Chemistry at Caltech), Bao Lam (Materials Science at the University of Illinois), Luis Hurtado (ECE at Carnegie Mellon), Micah Roschelle (EECS at Berkeley), Madison Manley (ECE at Georgia Tech), and Alice Wu (EECS at MIT). To these students and all of our REU participants this past decade, we say THANK YOU for helping to make the E3S REU a nationwide model of success. May they continue to aspire higher.
