Dr. Catherine Amelink is the external evaluator for the NSF Center for Energy Efficient Electronic Sciences. She is Assistant Vice Provost for Learning Systems Innovation and Effectiveness at Virginia Tech and holds affiliate faculty status in the Department of Engineering Education, College of Engineering and Higher Education Program, School of Education. Her research interests include examining factors that impact the success of underrepresented populations in STEM fields. She is involved with strategic planning efforts for a number of regional and national educational organizations and has been working with faculty for over 15 years on the design and evaluation of educational activities that advance curricular innovation and student achievement.
